Working with the garage door up

To me, this means transparency / disclosure of the thinking / development process. I tried to do this in my article How to build multi-index charts in Plotly. This is somewhat different, because the development process presented in the article is partially artificial: The iterations I presented were summarized and reordered to deliver a useful article, and not an exact representation of reality. The other interpretation is actually working with the garage door up, i.e. letting other people see you working. I have tried that with studystream.live. It was only partially useful, because seeing other people move really distracted me. As I’m a curios cat, I also very regularly took breaks to simply watch other people. A more radical, likely less distracting and more efficient approach compared to StudyStream would be to set up an e.g. Twitch livestream. Then I would not be able to see others and would be under more pressure to work, because everybody would be watching only me.
